Every year around this time, my inbox fills up with the same question: “Are you doing Christmas minis this year?” The answer is yes! This year there are five mini collections to choose from, from a cozy holiday studio to golden hour on the beach. Some have a holiday setup, and some are timeless spots you can style for the season and hang on your walls all year.

If your family’s happy place is the ocean, this one’s for you. These holiday minis happen right on the sand in Cocoa Beach during golden hour, with a simple holiday setup that lets the beach shine. Pets are welcome too!

The Ivy Collection in Winter Park
The Winter Park ivy wall is one of my favorite spots in Orlando. It’s lush, green and classic, and it looks festive with the right outfits. Think deep reds, creams and plaid.

What do you capture in a mini session?
Even though minis are short, I make every minute count. I’ll guide you through natural posing and real interaction to capture several family portraits, an individual photo of each child, sibling photos, and one of just the parents. If there’s a specific shot you’re hoping for, just let me know in your questionnaire.
Will my photos be ready for Christmas cards?
Yes! Mini galleries are delivered within 10 to 12 days of your session, so there’s plenty of time to order cards and prints.
Can grandparents or extended family join?
Minis are priced for immediate family. You can add extra family members for $25 per person ($30 for the Seaside Collection). Sessions don’t get longer, though, so for a bigger group I recommend booking two back to back time slots or a full Orlando family photographer session.
What should we wear?
Think coordinated instead of matching. For the studio and ivy wall, cream, caramel, deep green, burgundy and soft plaids look beautiful. For the beach and field, go light and airy with whites, creams, soft blues and flowy fabrics. Once you book, I’ll help you plan the details.
Is a mini right for my family?
Many kids do great in a short session! Some little ones need more time to warm up, though. If that sounds like yours, a full session might be the more relaxed choice.
