Cocoa Beach is one of my favorite places to photograph families because it gives us room to keep things relaxed, natural, and fun. Whether you’re visiting Orlando and making a day trip to the coast or staying near the beach, I’ll help you plan a session that feels easy and true to your family.

What should we wear for Cocoa Beach family photos?


Soft neutrals and earthy colors photograph beautifully at the beach. Cream, beige, tan, muted blue, soft green, rust, and warm brown all work really well against the sand and ocean.


I recommend coordinating rather than matching and choosing fabrics with movement and texture. I’m always happy to help with outfit planning before your session.

Why Cocoa Beach works so well for family photos


Cocoa Beach gives us a beautiful mix of soft dunes, open shoreline, natural greenery, and warm sunset light. It works especially well for families who want something a little more relaxed than a traditional portrait session.


Sessions can include walking, playing, cuddling, splashing at the water’s edge, and plenty of natural interaction so your gallery feels less posed and more like your family.

Where I photograph in Cocoa Beach


One of my favorite locations is Lori Wilson Park because it offers beach access, natural dunes, greenery, and convenient parking and restrooms. Depending on the look you want, I can also recommend other nearby options in Cocoa Beach.


If you’re staying at a hotel or vacation rental near the beach, I can help you decide whether your location will work well for photos or if it makes more sense to meet at one of my preferred spots.

Visiting Orlando or Disney World? Add a Cocoa Beach Session


A lot of the families I photograph are visiting Central Florida for vacation and want to document more than just the theme parks. A Cocoa Beach family photography session is an easy way to create something completely different during your trip and capture a little piece of Florida while you’re here.


Cocoa Beach is about an hour from many Orlando vacation areas, making it a great option for families visiting Disney World, Universal Orlando, or staying elsewhere in the Orlando area. If you’re looking for an Orlando vacation photographer or want Disney vacation family photos with a different feel, a relaxed beach session at Cocoa Beach is such a fun way to add variety to your trip.
