Best Locations for Family Photos in Orlando

Orlando has so many beautiful places for family photos, and the right location can completely change the look and feel of your session. Whether you love soft natural scenery, a polished neighborhood setting, a beach backdrop, or something a little more modern, there are plenty of options throughout Central Florida.

As an Orlando family photographer, I help families choose locations that photograph beautifully and also fit their personality, style, and the ages of their kids. These are some of my favorite types of locations for family photos in and around Orlando.

Baldwin Park

Baldwin Park is a great option for families who want a timeless, polished look without anything feeling too formal. The area has greenery, walking paths, open spaces, and pretty light in the evening.

It works especially well for families with younger kids because there is room to move around, walk, and play instead of standing in one spot for the entire session. It is also not super overwhelming and great for both quick sessions and full sessions!

Winter Park

Winter Park is one of my favorite locations for family photos in the Orlando area, especially if you want something classic, polished, and a little more elevated. Rollins College offers beautiful architecture, brick walkways, mature trees, and tons of texture, while Hannibal Square has charming streets, colorful details, and a more urban, editorial feel.

Both locations are great for families who want images that feel refined and natural while still having plenty of variety in the background.

Lake Nona

Lake Nona is perfect for families who prefer a cleaner, more modern look. The area has contemporary architecture, open spaces, and a more polished city feel.

It can be a great alternative if you want family photos that feel less traditional while still keeping the focus on connection and movement.

Cocoa Beach

Cocoa Beach is one of my favorite options for families who want a more relaxed and coastal feel. The beach gives us beautiful natural light, soft neutral colors, and plenty of space for movement and candid moments.

It is also a great choice for families visiting Orlando who want to document their vacation with professional family photos while they are in Central Florida.

How to Choose the Best Family Photo Location in Orlando

The best location is the one that fits your family. I always think about the ages of your children, the season, the time of day, your clothing choices, and the overall look you want before recommending a location.

Some families want soft greenery and golden light. Others love the beach. Some want something clean and modern. There really is no one perfect location for everyone.

My goal is always to choose a setting that gives us beautiful light and enough space for your family to relax, move, and interact naturally.
